What Are Druid Astrology & CELTIC Horoscopes?

Celtic Astrology, Celtic Tree Astrology, Celtic Zodiac, Gaelic, or Irish Astrology is an astrological system that isn’t based on the popular traditional systems like Chinese, and Western astrology.

It is peculiar to note that some scholars state a resemblance and overlap with the Vedic teachings. This tradition flourished in 1000 BCE, long before Christianity was allegedly founded, and lasted until the effects of the Roman Empire led to its demise.

Celtic tree astrology comes from ancient Gaelic culture and a druid knowledge that was practiced by the people in Northern Europe and Ireland.

Druids were philosophers, scientists, poets, and priests who thought trees were sacred and holders of wisdom, and also had a strong sense and belief in the cycles of the moon, where there are 13 lunar months, each containing 28 days, with corresponding trees. And every species has a uniquely magical trait from the Ogham, the ancient shamanic alphabet, which is meant to attract fortune, avoid harm, and strengthen powers.

Each tree also has a corresponding color, gemstone, and spirit animal. This alphabet is attributed to Ogham or Celtic Hercules, the god of poetry and eloquence of Celtic Ireland.

This astrological system is considered more complex than others since the Celts, specifically the druids, took decades to study trees. These priests of wisdom and magic predicted the future even by listening to the rustling of leaves. Thus, the moon and trees of the Ogham work together to offer forecasting tools about the human psyche.

Druids thought that a child born within a specific season develops specific characteristics tied to a tree of wisdom.
